The Nation magaine is a rarity--as they point out in their advertising, in a landscape where "liberal media" is essentially a misnomer, they are proudly, unabashedly liberal. They have some amazing writers and editors, and they offer an almost unique viewpoint on our social and political scene.
Now they're facing a big budget shortfall, and to help make up the difference, they're holding an auction. There are lots of really cool items to bid on, many of which have some connection to lefty history.
My contribution to the auction is a complete set of the Barack Obama biographical comics I wrote, including the now-rare first printing of the first one, the also-rare trading card that was bound in with one, and the hardcover collection--all of them autographed. There's one bid already, but they need more. Let's drive the price up and raise some needed money for one of the most necessary little magazines out there. Click on the link to see the set, and then go through and look at the rest of the stuff.
